How to Learn Portuguese

Portuguese is spoken by about 200 million people. The major Portuguese-speaking countries are Portugal and Brazil, but Portuguese is also spoken in Angola, Azores, Cape Verde, East Timor, Guinea-Bissau, Macao, Madeira, Mozambique and São Tomé e Príncipe.
There are significant differences between Brazilian Portuguese and the Portuguese spoken in Portugal. The sound systems are different: If you know Brazilian Portuguese it will be difficult for you to understand Continental Portuguese, and vice versa.
It is a language related to Latin
Portuguese and English share a large number of words.
