Learn Arabic on your computer. The better programs (and more expensive ones) have enough flexibility and feedback to (almost) make up for not having a teacher.

It is certainly very convenient to be able to boot up your computer any time and practice your Arabic, drill in vocabulary and take quizzes in grammar.
Some courses let you record your voice to compare it to that of a native speaker.
Computer-based learning lets you learn and practice without embarassment.

There are many different dialects of Arabic. Please try to choose a course that teaches the dialect that you need.
Lebanese is useable in Lebanon and Syria.
Egyptian is useable in Egypt, and is understood by many in other countries.
Modern Standard is the official language taught in schools, and is understood and spoken in many countries.
